Nifty Auto index up 1.03% in positive market

The Nifty Auto index rose by 1.03% today, reaching 21,539.8 points. This increase comes during a positive trading session in the stock market. At around 10:04 AM IST, several auto companies saw gains. Bharat Forge Ltd. was up by 2.36%, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. with a 1.94% rise. Other gainers included Eicher Motors Ltd., Hero MotoCorp Ltd., and Bajaj Auto Ltd., all with increases of over 1%. However, not all companies in the index performed well. Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd. fell by 0.66%, while Balkrishna Industries Ltd. and Apollo Tyres Ltd. also saw small declines. In the broader market, the benchmark NSE Nifty50 index increased by 133.96 points to reach 23,041.55. The BSE Sensex also rose by 460.18 points, sitting at 75,909.23. Out of 50 stocks on the Nifty index, 38 showed positive movement, while 12 experienced losses. Some of the most actively traded shares included Vodafone Idea and YES Bank. Meanwhile, stocks like Kaveri Seed Co. and InterGlobe reached new 52-week highs, while others like Praxis Home Retail hit fresh lows.
