Nifty Realty index rises 1.07% in stock market
The Nifty Realty index rose by 1.07% on Thursday, closing at 854.4. This increase reflects a positive day for the real estate sector. Phoenix Mills Ltd. was the biggest gainer, rising 4.4%. Other significant gainers included Oberoi Realty Ltd. (up 1.76%), Macrotech Developers Ltd. (up 1.39%), Brigade Enterprises Ltd. (up 0.94%), and Prestige Estates Projects Ltd. (up 0.63%). However, not all stocks performed well. Raymond Ltd. fell by 0.51%, and DLF Ltd. dropped 0.47%, making them the top losers in the index. Across the broader market, the benchmark NSE Nifty50 index increased by 283.06 points to reach 23190.65. The BSE Sensex also rose, up 899.01 points to 76348.06. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 46 were in the positive territory, while 4 saw declines. Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zomato, National Highways InvIT, and SCI were among the most traded on the NSE. Several companies reached new 52-week highs, including Welspun Corp and Kaveri Seed Co. In contrast, KEI Industries and others hit their 52-week lows.
