Nightly ramp closures for construction in Plano

Beginning this week, the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) in Plano will have nightly closures. The closures are set to happen from March 18 to March 21. They will occur from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Each night, the direct-connector ramps from eastbound and westbound SRT to northbound Dallas North Tollway (DNT) will be closed for construction work. During these closures, there will also be a right lane closure on northbound DNT. This lane will be closed from Headquarters Drive to Gaylord Parkway. The work is being done at night when traffic is lighter, allowing crews to work more safely and efficiently. To help drivers, the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) has set up detours. Eastbound SRT drivers will be directed to exit at Dallas Parkway and turn left to access the DNT. Westbound SRT drivers will also exit at Parkwood Boulevard/Dallas Parkway and turn right to reach the DNT. These changes aim to maintain traffic flow and reduce disruptions. The NTTA states that the DNT widening project is part of efforts to improve mobility in the area and meet the growing transportation needs of the region.
