Nine killed in Russian drone strikes on hospital in Ukraine
Russia launched drone attacks on the Saint Panteleimon Clinical Hospital in Sumy, Ukraine, early Saturday, killing nine people and injuring at least 19. The attacks occurred 45 minutes apart, with most fatalities during the second strike. Ukrainian officials reported that 22 people sought medical help, and 14 were hospitalized, six in serious condition. The attacks also damaged nine high-rise buildings in the area. This incident follows a pattern of increased attacks on Sumy since August, coinciding with Ukrainian military operations in Russia's Kursk region. The UN emphasized that medical facilities are protected under international law.
