Nine police officers accused of assaulting lawyers

Nine police officers, including Vibhuti Khand station house officer Pankaj Kumar Singh, have been booked for allegedly assaulting and robbing lawyers at the police station on March 14. The FIR was filed late Friday night. Lawyer Saurabh Verma reported that he witnessed police officers attacking his colleagues and threatening them. The officers allegedly stole valuables and verbally abused the lawyers, demanding money to avoid false charges. Lawyers protested at the police station after the incident, leading to the filing of the FIR. Police have stated they are investigating the allegations against the officers involved.
