Nineteen players invited for Women's World Cup qualifiers

The Women's National Selection Committee has invited 19 players to a training camp in Lahore. This camp is to prepare for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier, scheduled for April 9 to 19. The camp will be held at Gaddafi Stadium and LCCA ground. This training camp follows an earlier session in Faisalabad, where 33 players participated. Notably, Tuba Hassan will not play in the qualifiers due to a fractured finger. All-rounder Nida Dar has been brought back into the squad. The players selected for the camp include Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, and others, with three players listed as wicket-keepers. The other teams in the qualifier are Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, and the West Indies. The teams will compete in a round-robin format, where each team plays all others. The top two teams will earn spots in this year's ICC Women's World Cup. The Pakistan team will train at the Ghani Glass Academy in DHA, Lahore, from March 21 to 30. Over these 10 days, the players will participate in net sessions and practice 50-over matches to prepare for the tournament. Muhammad Wasim, the head coach, will lead the camp with support from other coaches.
