He expressed deep emotions while remembering Iwata, highlighting their close relationship and Iwata's appreciation for personal conversations with his team. Sakurai also reflected on Iwata's health struggles before his death in July 2015. He noted that he had planned to meet Iwata that month, making the loss even more poignant.
