Nitish Bhaluni, known for his role as Tapu on the long-running sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently shared his experiences of becoming more like a Gujarati. During a stroll with friends, he revealed how interacting with his castmates has influenced him. Bhaluni, who joined the show in 2023, noted that he has learned to speak Gujarati fluently. In a vlog posted on Instagram, he humorously expressed, “I am not Gujarati, but now I have become Gujarati." He said his daily conversations with the predominantly Gujarati cast have helped him embrace the culture and language. Fans quickly reacted to his video, praising his new accent. Many showed their support, with comments like, “Your gujju accent is damn good,” and “Gujarati sara kevay.” Bhaluni took over the character of Tapu after the previous actors, Bhavya Gandhi and Raj Anadkat, left the show. Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has aired for over 17 years and continues to be popular, recently securing the second spot in the TV ratings. The show has introduced multiple new characters over time, and the latest episodes have included engaging storylines, such as Tapu's wedding, which delivered a strong social message to viewers.
