No. 1 Serra Padres improve to 10-0 with win
The Serra Padres secured their tenth victory of the season by beating Bellarmine 2-1 in a thrilling nine-inning game. Nate Hui hit a two-out double to drive in the winning run, helping Serra maintain their undefeated record of 10-0. Serra, known for its strong baseball history, took the lead when Davis Minton hit a home run. Bellarmine tied the game in the fifth but could not hold on as Serra’s strong pitching helped them close out the game. In another matchup, Livermore shocked California by scoring 11 runs in the sixth inning to win 13-9. This dramatic comeback lifted Livermore to a 7-3 record. California fell to 4-2. St. Francis edged Valley Christian 2-1, thanks to Bobby Hill's hitting and solid pitching from Nick Chow. St. Francis improved to 8-2, while Valley Christian dropped to 6-3. Archbishop Mitty narrowly defeated Archbishop Riordan 4-3. Waylon Walsh hit a two-run homer in the seventh to turn the game around for Mitty, which now stands at 7-2. Dublin continued its strong season with a 4-2 win over San Ramon Valley. Dublin has now won nine of their ten games, while San Ramon Valley fell to 4-5. In softball, Livermore beat No. 15 Foothill 5-3, led by impressive performances from several players. Pinole Valley also shined with a 4-0 victory over Albany, with McKenzie Ortega striking out 14 batters. Valley Christian had an easy win against Branham, finishing the game 8-0, while El Cerrito dominated Swett 15-2, maintaining an unbeaten streak of 8-0.
