Noida International Airport construction progress videos released
Construction of the Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh is moving forward quickly. When finished, it will be the largest airport in India. The airport aims to ease overcrowding at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and boost the local economy. Recent videos show the airport’s main terminal being built, with many cranes and scaffolding visible. A highway interchange is also taking shape, which is important for easy access to the airport. The new airport was originally set to start commercial operations on April 17, 2025, but there may be delays. The delay is linked to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which is expected to issue the necessary aerodrome license by April 30. A key meeting, led by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, took place on March 10 to discuss the airport's progress. Several officials and contractors were invited to provide updates. Moreover, the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) for Noida Airport was supposed to be released recently but has been postponed due to unfinished work at the site. The AIP is important for including the airport in global aviation records. It is also necessary for starting steps like flight scheduling and ticket services. Before flights can operate, clearance from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) is also required.
