Noida schools halt outdoor activities as air quality worsens
Schools in Noida have suspended outdoor activities due to worsening air quality. After the Diwali break, the air quality index (AQI) reached 319, classified as "very poor." Although it improved slightly to 265, experts warn it may worsen again. To adapt, schools are replacing outdoor play with indoor activities in classrooms and auditoriums. This change has become a common practice after Diwali, as principals and parents express concern over the impact of pollution on children's health and well-being. Some schools are also taking measures like sprinkling water on campus to reduce dust. There is currently no official advisory, but schools are trying to mitigate pollution's effects on students.
