Nominations for Young Citizen of the Year due March 24

Nominations are open for the 2025 Young Citizen of the Year in Washtenaw County. The deadline to submit candidates is Monday, March 24. This award is given by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation. It honors high school students who contribute to their communities through volunteer work outside of their school programs. Five students will be selected for this recognition. Winners receive a scholarship of $4,500, funded by the Robert Bruce Dunlap Memorial Fund. To be eligible, students must be enrolled in a public or private high school in Washtenaw County for the 2024-25 school year. Nominators need to provide their contact information, along with details about the nominee and their community service work. The foundation will reach out to nominated students for more information and references. The five Young Citizens of the Year will be announced on May 11.
