North American banking brand growth lags behind global rates
North American banking brands are experiencing slow growth. Their average brand value increased by only 3%. This is much lower than the global banking sector, which saw a growth of 13% to reach $1.6 trillion. In the United States, Bank of America remains the most valuable banking brand. It ranks 5th worldwide, with a brand value of $45 billion, reflecting a 21% increase. Other top US banks also saw growth, but smaller regional banks are having a harder time. In Canada, the banking sector's growth is slower than in the US. TD is the most valuable bank, ranking 16th globally. Its brand value has increased by 1% to $16.6 billion. Other Canadian banks, such as Royal Bank of Canada and Scotiabank, follow in second and third place, with brand values of $10.6 billion. On a global scale, Chinese banks lead the market. ICBC retains its position as the world's most valuable banking brand. Other top banks include China Construction Bank and Agricultural Bank of China.
