Northern California experiences sunny, warmer weather today
Northern California is experiencing sunny and warmer weather today. Some areas may see patchy fog in the morning. However, mostly sunny skies are expected throughout the day. In the Valley, afternoon temperatures will reach the mid 70s. The Foothills will see highs in the upper 60s, while the Sierra will be cooler, with temperatures in the upper 50s. A ridge of high pressure is causing these warm conditions. As the week progresses, more clouds will move in on Wednesday, lowering the temperatures slightly. By Thursday, a low pressure system will pass to the north, bringing even cooler weather. There is a small chance of light rain showers in the Foothills and Sierra on Thursday, with a possibility of flurries in the higher elevations. However, little to no accumulation is expected. Friday and Saturday are set to be dry and cooler. Another wave of active weather could arrive on Sunday.
