Valley highs are expected to be around the mid 60s, while the Sierra will stay in the mid 40s. There may be a few light showers in the mountains. On Sunday, the weather will warm up significantly. Most areas will be at least 10 degrees warmer with plenty of sunshine. Downtown Sacramento could reach the mid 70s in the afternoon. Some Foothills communities may also flirt with the 70-degree mark. In the Sierra, temperatures will rise to the mid 50s. The warm weather is expected to continue into the first part of next week. Residents can enjoy sunshine and light winds. However, cooler temperatures are anticipated to return by next Friday.
