A drugs baron from Northern Ireland has been arrested with a large stash of cocaine worth over £500,000. Brian ‘Jock’ Morrison, a 52-year-old lorry driver, is set to be sentenced at Manchester Crown Court. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply. Morrison was not at home when a reporter visited his residence in Carrickfergus. A woman at the door declined to comment. According to sources, Morrison had kept a low profile while working with organised crime groups in Manchester. He was involved in dealing cocaine and cannabis for major criminals, which helped him live beyond his means. Authorities arrested Morrison during a police raid in September 2023 at The Hub Bar in Bury. This raid was prompted by complaints of antisocial behavior. During the operation, officers found 11 kilos of cocaine and a cannabis farm hidden behind a false wall. The Greater Manchester Police provided evidence showing that the bar had been used for drug supply since February 2023. Officers discovered scales, cash, and items related to drug sales at the bar. The local council has since revoked the bar's license due to these findings and complaints from residents about the atmosphere and noise levels associated with the establishment.
