Nothing to expand retail presence significantly in India
Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, attended the Raisina Dialogue 2025 in New Delhi. This conference, which was opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focuses on global geopolitics and economics. Pei joined a panel on digital governance, where he discussed India's growing tech market alongside former Information Technology Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar. During the panel, Pei expressed optimism about India's potential in the global smartphone industry. Earlier, he shared on social media that he is enthusiastic about India’s role in technology growth. Nothing has seen impressive success in India, with a growth rate of 577% last year, making it one of the fastest-growing smartphone brands. To further their expansion, Nothing has appointed Akis Evangelidis as President of Nothing India. He mentioned that the focus this year will be on strengthening their presence in the market. The company aims to increase its retail network from 9,000 to more than 12,000 stores by the end of 2025, partnering with retailers like Croma and Vijay Sales. Additionally, the recently launched Phone (3a) series is locally manufactured in Chennai, helping enhance India's manufacturing sector. Nothing has also achieved a significant global milestone, selling over 7 million devices and reaching $1 billion in revenue, with India playing a vital role in this success.
