NSE CEO says SMEs can achieve billion-dollar valuations
NSE CEO Ashish Chauhan encourages small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to list on the stock exchange, highlighting their potential to become billion-dollar companies. Last year, 200 SMEs joined the NSE, reflecting a growing trend in public market participation. India's investor base has surged from 16 million in 2014 to 110 million today, with more individuals investing through systematic investment plans. This shift indicates a broader engagement in wealth creation beyond traditional assets like real estate and gold. Chauhan notes that India's stable domestic capital and evolving global dynamics position it as a strong investment hub. The changing landscape suggests that entrepreneurs are increasingly viewing Indian capital markets as a pathway to long-term success.
