Nursing aide killed by truck in Cebu City accident

In Cebu City, a 39-year-old nursing aide, Robeliz Oyao, died after being struck by a truck. The accident occurred on the evening of March 19 along the South Road Properties in Brgy. Mambaling. Oyao was riding on a motorcycle driven by her partner, Glenn Dela Rosa Ochea, when a truck swerved and hit them. Both fell off the motorcycle, and the truck ran over Oyao. The driver, 50-year-old Damelito Loro Casas, is in police custody as authorities prepare to charge him with reckless imprudence leading to homicide. In another incident, a vegetable broker, known as "Juan," was arrested in Dalaguete for drug-related offenses. The operation took place on the evening of March 19, where authorities found over P500,000 worth of suspected shabu. Juan, 39, has a criminal history and was previously arrested for drug charges in 2021. He was released on probation a year later. The police seized 80 grams of suspected shabu from him during the arrest.
