NVCC urges easing curfew for Vidarbha markets
The Nag-Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) has sent a letter to police commissioner Ravinder Singal. They are asking to ease the curfew in the Mahal areas of Nagpur, which have been affected by recent riots. In their letter, the NVCC requested a meeting to discuss solutions. They pointed out that all business activities in the affected areas have been shut down for the past two days. This closure is causing financial losses for local traders and their employees. The NVCC acknowledged that the curfew is a response to the violence that occurred on Monday night. However, they believe it is important to find a way to allow businesses to operate normally again. The NVCC represents around 1.3 million traders in Vidarbha and works to connect businesses with government and other organizations. They have about 100 trade groups affiliated with them.
