Nvidia and AMD unveil new AI chips at CES 2025
Nvidia and AMD introduced their latest AI-driven chips at the Consumer Electronics Show. Nvidia launched the GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs, priced from $549 to $1,999, featuring enhanced AI capabilities and improved performance. Nvidia's CEO highlighted the importance of machine learning and announced the Grace Blackwell NVLink72, which includes 72 GPUs and 2,592 CPU cores. The company also revealed a partnership with Toyota for autonomous vehicle technology. AMD showcased the Ryzen 9950X3D CPU, which is 8% faster than its predecessor, along with new AI-oriented processors. AMD plans to integrate its CPUs into business PCs with Dell Technologies, aiming to enhance portable device performance.
