Nvidia CEO highlights PM Modi's early focus on AI during India visit

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang recently recalled how, six years ago, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked him to address his cabinet about artificial intelligence when it was not widely discussed. Huang noted this was a unique request from a government leader at the time. During his visit to India, Huang emphasized the importance of India developing its own AI technologies instead of outsourcing. He suggested that India has the necessary resources to create and export its own AI innovations. Huang also introduced a new Hindi AI model, Nemotron-4-Mini-Hindi-4B, aimed at helping Indian companies develop their own AI solutions.
