Nvidia CEO unveils next-generation AI chips and supercomputer at CES
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang introduced new AI chips, large language models, and a mini AI supercomputer at the CES trade show. The new Blackwell architecture chips promise faster performance and lower energy costs compared to previous models. The mini AI supercomputer, Project DIGITS, can perform a quadrillion calculations per second, allowing users to prototype and run large AI models on their desktops. Huang emphasized the growing need for computing power as AI workloads increase. Nvidia also launched the Llama Nemotron language models for enterprise use and the Cosmos platform for creating virtual environments. Additionally, a partnership with Toyota was announced to develop vehicles using Nvidia's advanced driving technology.
