NVIDIA expands Omniverse platform integration across industries
NVIDIA announced today that many top industrial software and service companies are now integrating its Omniverse platform. Companies like Ansys, Databricks, Siemens, and SAP are using Omniverse to speed up the digital transformation in various industries. The Omniverse platform helps link physical data with physical AI technology. Rev Lebaredian from NVIDIA stated that Omniverse is unifying industrial ecosystems and simplifying the creation of advanced applications for industries. New features, called "Blueprints," are available to improve operations involving robots and synthetic data generation. Manufacturers are already applying these blueprints. For example, Hyundai and Mercedes-Benz are simulating robots on their assembly lines, while Foxconn is testing robots to improve factory operations. The KION Group is also integrating these tools for automation in warehouses. NVIDIA is enhancing its framework to ease the challenges of digitalization in industries. Many companies are now embedding Omniverse's capabilities into their existing software to improve product development and manufacturing. Additionally, General Motors is using Omniverse to boost its factory operations, while Unilever is streamlining content creation for its products. NVIDIA is making it easier for developers to access Omniverse through cloud platforms like AWS and Microsoft Azure. Finally, NVIDIA introduced the OpenUSD Asset Structure Pipeline for Robotics, aiming to standardize data workflows in robotics. The ongoing GTC event features more sessions on these innovations and tools available for developers.
