Nvidia unveils RTX 5070 promising RTX 4090 performance at $549 launch price
Nvidia announced its new RTX Blackwell GPUs at CES 2025, featuring the RTX 5070, which will launch in February at $549. This card is said to match the performance of the previous generation's RTX 4090, priced at $1,599. The RTX 5070's performance is attributed to new DLSS 4 technology, which uses AI to enhance frame rates. Nvidia claims this will provide a gaming experience comparable to the more expensive RTX 4090 in supported applications. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will launch on January 30, with the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 following in February. The RTX 5080 will maintain its $999 price point, while the RTX 5090 will be priced at $1,999.
