Nvidia's RTX 5070 GPU rumored to have fewer CUDA cores than RTX 4070 Super

Nvidia's upcoming RTX 5070 GPU is rumored to have 6,400 CUDA cores, which is fewer than the RTX 4070 Super's 7,168 cores. This represents only a 9% increase over the existing RTX 4070. The RTX 5070 is expected to have a board power of 250 W, up from 200 W for the 4070. However, the new Blackwell architecture may improve efficiency and performance despite the lower core count. The gap in CUDA cores between the RTX 5070 and the 5070 Ti is projected to be 40%, compared to a 30% gap between the RTX 4070 and 4070 Ti. This could lead to increased competition in the mid-range GPU market from Intel and AMD.
