NYC launches Teaching Fellows program; apply by March 28
New York City is accepting applications for the NYC Teaching Fellows program, which trains college graduates and career changers to become teachers in high-needs subjects. The application deadline is March 28. The program requires a bachelor’s degree, a minimum GPA of 2.5, and fluency in English. Selected fellows will undergo full-time training from June to August and will receive a stipend. Fellows must secure a teaching position in their certification area and will pursue a master’s degree in education over two to three years. The program adapts to the hiring needs of schools each year.
