NYPD identifies pedestrian killed in Staten Island hospital crash

Police have identified Kathleen Murphy, 64, as the pedestrian killed in a crash at Staten Island University Hospital on Wednesday morning. She was struck by a Volkswagen SUV while walking from the parking lot around 6:45 a.m. The driver, a 67-year-old man, was traveling southwest on the access road when the incident occurred. The NYPD's Highway District Collision Investigation Squad is conducting an ongoing investigation. Murphy was reportedly an employee of the hospital. The hospital expressed condolences and stated they are cooperating with the investigation. No arrests have been made.
