Oakland gas station hit by smash-and-grabs six times

An Oakland gas station owner is urging police to take action after his store was hit by robbers using a car for the sixth time in two weeks. This latest incident occurred at a Shell Station in the Rockridge neighborhood. Video shows a vehicle crashing repeatedly into the building while an employee fled for safety. The gas station manager, Deep Singh, described the chaos as the vehicle destroyed the front of the store and knocked over the safe. "Everything is damaged in there. They took the safe, they took some money," he said. Singh noted that while the station had been targeted before, this level of organization among the robbers is new and alarming. Overall, six gas stations in Oakland have been robbed in just two weeks. Singh expressed frustration over the lack of action from city officials and police. He stated, "Do something. That’s it. You have all the evidence, and if you aren’t doing anything, it’s kind of sad for us." Despite the ongoing threats, Singh wants to continue his business in Oakland. However, he warned that without significant changes, it will become increasingly difficult. "This is really bad for businesses and all the communities. How are we going to do business if they keep doing this?" The Oakland Police Department is investigating the recent incidents and encourages anyone with information to come forward.
