OCD deploys team to Naga City for storm relief efforts

The Office of Civil Defense has sent a rapid deployment team to Naga City, which was severely affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine. The team will manage the distribution of relief supplies, including food, medical items, and clean water.

Relief items are being transported from various agencies to the Bicol Region, with operations starting on Sunday using aircraft from Malaysia and Singapore. Additional personnel from OCD regional offices are also in Naga to support logistics and operations.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has allocated P80 million in financial aid to local governments in Albay and Naga City. This includes P50 million for Albay and P30 million for Naga City, along with plans for additional medical support in the region.
