Ocean Casino in Atlantic City removes iconic sign

The Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City has taken down its famous Ocean sign. This change took place earlier this week. Despite some speculation, there is no plan to change the name of the casino. The casino explained that the removal of the sign is part of a larger renovation effort. A new sign is set to be installed by the end of April. This new sign will use LED technology and will include over 7,000 individual lights. Once the new sign is up, it can display different colors and designs. This update reflects a shift away from the casino's older branding, which has been gradually changed in recent years. The new signage is being created by Eastern Sign Tech, based in Burlington, New Jersey.
