Ocean State Job Lot replaces Big Lots in New Jersey

Big Lots stores are closing across the U.S., causing confusion about what will replace them. Many shoppers were surprised when they heard the company would shut down locations. One popular store in Toms River often had many customers and good stock. Now, it has been revealed that Ocean State Job Lot will take over some of the closed Big Lots stores in New Jersey. This discount retailer offers a variety of products, from outdoor supplies to furniture and toys. They also have a charitable program that helps kids in need. Three former Big Lots locations in New Jersey will be converted into Ocean State Job Lot stores. These locations will be in Cape May, Barnegat, and Sommers Point. The new stores are expected to open by mid-summer 2025. Currently, Ocean State Job Lot operates seven stores in New Jersey, including one in Freehold.
