Officials in Andhra Pradesh focus on Viksit Bharat goals
Officials in Andhra Pradesh are focusing on the goals of Viksit Bharat and Swarnandhra-2047. Lanka Dinakar, the Chairman of the 20-Point Programme, emphasized the need for teamwork among officials. He spoke to the media after a review meeting with officials in NTR district. Dinakar mentioned plans to provide clean drinking water to every household through the Jal Jeevan Mission. A revised Detailed Project Report will be created to outline the necessary infrastructure, such as overhead tanks and filters. He assured that under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM K. Pawan Kalyan, clean water access will expand throughout the district. He also addressed a delayed stormwater drain project in Vijayawada, which received ₹460 crore from the Union government in 2016. The project has faced delays due to funding issues. Officials have been directed to prepare a new report with updated estimates for submission to the government. Additionally, plans to boost tourism in the district were discussed. ₹18 crore will be allocated to enhance facilities at Bhavani Island. Efforts will also focus on organizing events to attract visitors to local attractions like the Prakasam Barrage and Pavitra Sangamam. Dinakar encouraged officials to work on creating more job opportunities in the state. District Collector G. Lakshmisha and MP Kesineni Sivanath were also present at the meeting.
