Ohio teacher followed student home over homework check
A teacher in Ohio is on administrative leave after he followed a student's bus home. He wanted to check if the student finished their homework, according to police. A parent contacted the principal of Hull Prairie Intermediate School after seeing the teacher at their front door. The teacher said he was checking on the student’s assignment since the class would have a pizza party if everyone finished their work. The parent felt this was unusual and concerning. The police report notes that the teacher usually asks students if he can follow the bus home to ensure they complete their assignments. Perrysburg superintendent Tom Hosler released a statement about the situation. He emphasized that student safety is a top priority and that the district is cooperating with police. The investigation is ongoing, and the school will provide updates as needed.
