Ola Electric has launched a new range of budget-friendly electric scooters, including the Ola Gig and S1 Z, with prices starting at ₹39,999. The scooters aim to make electric vehicles more accessible in India. The Ola Gig, designed for gig workers, offers a range of 112 km and a top speed of 25 km/h. The S1 Z targets urban commuters, providing a range of 146 km and a top speed of 70 km/h. Deliveries are expected to start in April and May 2025. Ola has also introduced the PowerPod, a portable inverter priced at ₹9,999, which allows scooter batteries to power small household appliances. The new models expand Ola's existing lineup, which includes premium scooters and motorcycles.
