Olympic skaters Chris and Alexa Knierim are expecting

Olympic figure skaters Chris and Alexa Knierim announced they are expecting their first child. They shared the news on Instagram, revealing they are 23 weeks along and used in vitro fertilization to conceive. The couple, who married in June 2016, became skating partners in 2012. They previously represented Team USA at the 2018 Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the team event. Chris and Alexa retired from competitive skating in 2020 but won two national titles together. They have openly discussed their relationship and challenges, including Alexa's health issues prior to their wedding.
