One suspect arrested, three remain at large in Markham
A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a robbery that took place in Markham last November. Three other suspects are still at large. York Regional Police reported that the robbery occurred on the morning of November 20, 2024. Three masked suspects entered a store near Woodbine Avenue and Denison Street. They allegedly threatened employees and took stolen phones from the back room. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle, which was later found abandoned in Toronto. None of the employees were harmed during the incident. During the investigation, police searched two vehicles and recovered all the stolen items. They identified the arrested suspect as Alexandru Micu, who has no fixed address. He faces charges of robbery with threats of violence and possession of stolen property. These charges have not yet been tested in court. Police have released photos of the three remaining suspects. They are described as having heavier builds and dark complexions. One suspect was seen wearing a burgundy hooded sweatshirt, another wore a black tracksuit with a white stripe, and the third had on a white and black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a baseball hat.
