OnePlus develops flip-style foldable to rival Samsung
OnePlus has announced it will not release a new foldable phone in 2025. This decision includes the anticipated OnePlus Open 2. The company made this announcement in a recent community post, stating it is reassessing its strategy in the foldable market. Despite this, there are whispers of a potential foldable device in development. A well-known leaker hinted at a product known as "OnePlus Pagani," suggesting it could be a foldable phone. However, this product is not a special edition; it is a codename for something more. Other leakers have supported this theory, stating that OnePlus Pagani is likely a flip-style foldable phone. This move could help OnePlus compete with Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 6. Yet, OnePlus chose to refrain from launching a successor to its previous foldable, leaving fans curious about the future. Many were hoping for a rebranding of the Oppo Find N5 as the OnePlus Open 2. But OnePlus clarified that it's postponing its foldable plans due to Oppo's forthcoming release of the Find N5. They believe this is the best direction for the company at this time. Currently, there are no details about the OnePlus Pagani, such as its design or when it might launch. Since OnePlus has confirmed it won't release any foldables this year, the product could possibly debut in 2026.
