Online transport service launched for Ramadan worshippers
Saudi authorities have launched a new online platform for transporting worshippers in the Grand Mosque during Ramadan. This service allows users to pre-book various types of carts, including golf carts and push carts, to navigate the site. The platform also offers options for performing rituals, such as circumambulating the Holy Kaaba and completing Umrah. Users can select their preferred date and time, with easy electronic payment and technical support available. Priority is given to elderly and disabled worshippers, with 400 electric golf carts allocated for their use. Ramadan, which began on March 1, typically sees a surge in Umrah pilgrims, with over 25 million worshippers reported in the first 10 days.
