Only 27.5% attended Rajasthan's RO & EO exam

In Ajmer, only 27.5% of registered candidates attended the re-examination for the Revenue Officer and Superintendent Officer positions. This exam was held by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) on Sunday and had 4.4 lakh candidates registered. The exam aimed to fill 111 positions, with 90 for revenue officers and 21 for superintendent officers. It took place at 1,918 centers in 26 districts. RPSC implemented strict security measures in response to a previous paper leak. In Jaipur, 85,817 candidates were expected, but only 23,473 showed up. Ajmer expected 23,175 candidates, with 6,391 attending. The highest turnout was in Banswara, where 30.4% of candidates participated. Didwana-Kuchaman reported the lowest attendance, at 22.5%. Overall, around 1.2 lakh candidates took part in the exam. This re-exam followed the cancellation of the original exam conducted on May 14, 2023, due to issues related to a leaked paper, which was identified on October 25, 2024.
