ONPE will fund Peru's political parties' 2026 primary campaigns

The National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) will provide indirect public funding for political organizations with registered candidates in the 2026 primary elections. This decision allows for the use of the electoral band. This funding, as stated in Resolution 000064-2025-JN/ONPE, will be available to parties with candidates registered with their statutory electoral bodies. The voting day for the primary elections is set for the last Sunday of November 2025. The ONPE's decision allows political parties to broadcast their government plans. The electoral band is a space in media outlets for political advertising.
