Ontario breaks ground on $100 million sports complex for Dodgers minor league team
Ontario, California, has begun construction on a new $100 million sports complex, the Ontario Sports Empire, covering 190 acres. This facility will feature various athletic fields and a professional baseball stadium for the Dodgers' minor league team. The Dodgers' Single-A team, currently based in Rancho Cucamonga, will relocate to Ontario in 2026. The city has launched a campaign for fans to suggest names for the new team. Once completed, the complex is expected to attract 1.2 million visitors annually and generate $70 million in economic impact, creating nearly 700 jobs. The opening is scheduled for fall 2026.
