OpenAI enables developers to integrate ChatGPT into apps

OpenAI has released the GPT-3.5 Turbo API, the original model behind ChatGPT, enabling developers to integrate AI features into popular apps. This allows for the return of the model that initially powered the chatbot. The updated API offers optimizations and reduced costs for developers, making it more efficient for applications like Snapchat, Quizlet, and Instacart to incorporate AI features, such as chatbots and shopping assistants. The API is also 10x cheaper than prior models. This release follows the retirement of the GPT-4 LLM and an update to the Whisper API.
