OpenAI testing Slack, Google Drive integration for ChatGPT
OpenAI is testing a new feature that lets business users connect ChatGPT to Slack and Google Drive. This feature, called ChatGPT Connectors, will allow the chatbot to access files, presentations, and conversations within these apps to answer user questions. The beta version will be available to selected ChatGPT Team subscribers, according to a TechCrunch report. OpenAI plans to expand this feature to include Microsoft SharePoint and Box in the future. In February, OpenAI reported that its enterprise business had about 2 million paying users, double the number from September. OpenAI's Chief Operating Officer, Brad Lightcap, mentioned that strong consumer adoption has contributed to this growth. Recently, home improvement retailer Lowe’s announced a collaboration with OpenAI to create an AI virtual assistant. This tool will help customers with project questions and find the right products. In another development, OpenAI signed a multi-year agreement with BNY to enhance the bank's in-house AI platform, Eliza. Sarthak Pattanaik from BNY highlighted AI's significant role in shaping their products and services. AI technologies are transforming business operations, impacting areas like customer service and inventory management. For instance, Klarna revealed that its AI assistant, Kiki, is now used by 85% of its employees, handling thousands of questions daily.
