Oppo Find N5 only available in Singapore and US

Oppo has surprised many with the launch of its Find N5 phone. This device is now the world's thinnest folding phone and has received praise for its design and features. However, the main issue is that it’s hard to buy outside of Singapore and the US, limiting its availability globally. The Oppo Find N5 measures just 8.93 mm thick when closed, making it slimmer than its competitors, like the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It's also lightweight but still packs two displays. The design includes a triple camera system and features a durable back made from “aerospace-grade fiber.” The phone offers excellent water and dust resistance and has been built to withstand everyday use. The cover display is 6.62 inches, and when opened, the main display is a large 8.12 inches, both using OLED technology with a high refresh rate. This makes for vibrant visuals, and the screens are among the brightest available. Performance is strong, powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, although slightly reduced compared to other high-end chips. The phone performs well without noticeable lag. The battery life is impressive, with the Find N5 offering a 5,600 mAh capacity—larger than most folding phones. It supports super-fast charging, capable of reaching 80% in just 35 minutes, which sets it apart from the competition. In terms of cameras, the Find N5 has good capabilities, especially with its primary and telephoto lenses. The ultrawide lens is less impressive, but overall, the camera system performs well in various conditions. Software-wise, the Find N5 runs on Android 14 with Oppo's ColorOS and introduces new multitasking features. This enhances productivity, making it easy to switch between tasks on the large screens. While the Oppo Find N5 excels in many areas, its high price tag and limited availability pose significant barriers for potential buyers. Priced at about $1,900, it may be hard for many to justify the expense, especially since they might need to import it. Despite these downsides, the Find N5 is seen as a significant step forward in the foldable phone market.
