Oracle launches Agentic AI Studio for business automation
Oracle has introduced its new AI Agent Studio, which aims to enhance business process automation. The announcement was made during the Oracle Cloud World Tour in London. The AI Agent Studio is designed for use with Oracle's Fusion Applications. Steve Miranda, a senior executive at Oracle, explained that this platform will help orchestrate teams of AI agents to improve business processes. This is part of Oracle's ongoing strategy to integrate AI into its offerings. Oracle's Fusion Applications cover various business functions, including finance, supply chain, and customer experience. The new AI tools can work across these areas, all based on Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. Miranda noted that the company has expanded its AI capabilities, increasing from 50 initial use cases to approximately 100. The AI Agent Studio allows users to customize and extend the functionality of pre-built AI agents. Companies can adapt these agents for specific tasks, like recruitment processes or supply chain optimizations. The platform supports various large language models, giving users the option to use either Oracle-specific models or external ones tailored for their industry. Many of Oracle's partners are excited about this new development. For instance, Accenture's AI officer commented on how AI innovation is transforming business processes. Research suggests that by 2025, many more companies will invest in AI agents, highlighting a growing trend in this technology. Experts from Deloitte and PwC emphasized the importance of these AI tools in managing AI's impact and unlocking its potential value. They believe organizations will undergo significant changes as AI agents become more integrated into their operations.
