Oregon State gymnastics aims for NCAA championship appearance

Oregon State is set to compete in the NCAA gymnastics championships as the No. 14 seed. They will participate in the Alabama Regional from April 4 to April 6. This will be their first appearance at the NCAA team finals since 2022, where they finished in 12th place. The championship meet is scheduled for April 17 to April 19 in Fort Worth, Texas. Oregon State is looking to secure a spot in the finals, where they can also support their athlete, Jade Carey. Carey is a senior and a five-time NCAA medalist. She is also a two-time Olympic gold medalist aiming for her first NCAA gold. In the Alabama Regional, Oregon State will compete against three other teams: No. 3 Florida, North Carolina State, and the winner of a play-in match between Clemson and Rutgers. Another pod includes No. 6 California, No. 11 Alabama, North Carolina, and Iowa. The top two teams from each pod will advance to the regional finals. Carey has had a strong season, ranking No. 1 in all around and balance beam. She is also seventh in vault and uneven bars. Oregon State's best team score this season is 197.700.
