Original 'Dexter' stars returning for "Dexter: Resurrection."
Showtime is bringing back the popular series "Dexter" with a new installment called "Dexter: Resurrection." This comes after the success of "Dexter: New Blood." Fans are excited to see familiar faces as well as new characters. Michael C. Hall will return as Dexter Morgan, continuing his role as the complex serial killer. Dexter’s adoptive father, Harry Morgan, will also appear, played by James Remar. There is no word yet on whether he will be a ghost or a different form. Jack Alcott will reprise his role as Dexter’s son, Harrison Morgan. Several other characters will be returning as well. David Zayas will come back as Angel Batista, and John Lithgow will reprise his role as the Trinity Killer. Lithgow's character will appear as a phantom from a hospital bed. However, not everyone is returning. Jennifer Carpenter, who played Dexter’s sister Debra Morgan, has decided not to come back for this series. She feels satisfied with her character’s story and wishes the cast well. Some other characters, like Hannah McKay and James Doakes, will not be returning either. Fans are hopeful to see how the new installment unfolds, but it will not feature every beloved character. Filming is currently taking place in New York City and Miami.
