Orlando Airport's Terminal C pedestrian bridge nears completion
Orlando International Airport is getting closer to opening a new pedestrian bridge at Terminal C. This terminal launched in September 2022 and now aims to improve access around the airport. The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) is finalizing the construction contract, which was delayed due to the pandemic. The pedestrian bridge will connect Terminal C to key locations like the Train Station and Parking Garage C. The project received support from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law passed in 2021, which helps fund critical infrastructure improvements. Terminal C has 15 gates and can serve up to 20 aircraft for both domestic and international flights. Airlines like Aer Lingus and British Airways operate from this terminal. In its first year, Terminal C welcomed nearly 6.4 million passengers. The GOAA is also upgrading other terminals and enhancing the airport's overall infrastructure. Recently, Lance Lyttle was announced as the new CEO of GOAA, starting in April. He will oversee several major projects, including the Terminal C expansion and other improvements. The new pedestrian bridge and other enhancements are expected to be completed by the end of March 2025.
