OTTPlay Awards 2025 honors top Indian films and series
OTTPlay held its third awards ceremony on Saturday night, honoring Indian films and series available on streaming platforms. The event recognized talents across various categories in all Indian languages. Aparshakti Khurana and Kubra Sait hosted the ceremony. In the movies category, "Girls Will Be Girls" won Best Movie. Imtiaz Ali was named Best Director for "Amar Singh Chamkila." Manoj Bajpayee received the Popular Best Actor award for "Despatch," while Anupam Kher won the Critics' Best Actor award for his roles in "Vijay 69" and "The Signature." Kajol was recognized as the Popular Best Actress for "Do Patti." Sunny Kaushal took home the award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for "Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba." Priya Mani won Best Actor in a Comedy for "Bhaamakalapam 2." Avinash Tiwary and Shalini Pandey were named Breakthrough Performers in their categories for "The Mehta Boys" and "Maharaj," respectively. For web series, "Panchayat S3" won Best Series. Nikkhil Advani and Pradeep Maddali shared the Best Director award for their respective shows. Jaideep Ahlawat won Critics' Best Actor for "Paatal Lok S2," while Raghav Juyal was the Popular Best Actor for "Gyaarah Gyaarah." Nimisha Sajayan and Aditi Rao Hydari were recognized as Critics' and Popular Best Actress winners, respectively. Rahul Bhat and Jyotika won Best Supporting Actor awards for "Black Warrant" and "Dabba Cartel." Neeraj Madhav was awarded Best Actor in a Comedy for "Love Under Construction." Additional awards included Best Talk Show Host for Rana Daggubati and Best Reality Show for "The Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives." Sriimurali was named Trailblazer of the Year for his role in "Bagheera." Kani Kusruti and Sidhant Gupta were honored as Versatile Performers of the Year. The event highlighted the contributions of various artists, with promising actors like Hina Khan and Aparshakti Khurana receiving recognition.
